I became a Beatles fan in 1995 when I saw The Beatles Anthology on TV. My favorite Beatle was George Harrison, and his ex wife Patty Boyd, instantly inspired the 5th grade girl that I was back then, every bit as much as Patty Boyd still inspires me today. I think she is beautiful, and back in the 60’s she had the original boho-chic look. She is one of my favorite style icons of all time in fact!
I could spend several hours on a more in depth blog post on the fashion of Patty Boyd, but I decided to pick 5 key elements of hers that can inspire us in our modern outfit choices. She has a book I read many years ago, Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me, and if you want to learn more about here I suggest you read it.
1. Wear a large floppy hat
2. Or a beret
3. Paisley Print
4.) Cat Eye + Hair Bump
5. Neck Details – Scarves, chokers, necklaces, etc
Here are some modern pieces which can be style to evoke a Patty Boyd vibe. #2 vest and pants from Lee is a loose take from the photo above. All of these elements here were inspired by photos I have seen of her over the years.
